Cristiano Ronaldo is back for Man Utd and he will be wearing the number 7 shirt. His jersey is now available in the club shop and tens of fans decided to buy it on the first day they could. It is worth remembering that this was made possible by Edinson Cavani agreeing to wear the number 21 shirt.
The Mancunians published on social media how successful shirt sales had been. Many fans have now got their hands on a shirt with the Portuguese’s name on it. Prices range between 80 and 115 pounds, a significant amount of money when you add Ronaldo’s name and shirt number to that.
The large price, however, did not prevent the product from selling. The club’s marketing department are keeping a close eye on the former Juventus player’s first performances. If he plays well, that will likely see sales increase even more.
His first game back could come on 11th September when Man Utd face Newcastle in the Premier League. That would see Cristiano play in front of his home fans. There was a lot of excitement prior to the Wolves fixture, but Ronaldo could not play in that one.
