\"Edinson<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> striker, Edinson Cavani, has said he is \u201csad and upset\u201d over the club\u2019s decision to prevent him from representing Uruguay during this international break.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old was one of 50 players affected by the Premier League\u2019s decision not to allow players travel to countries on the UK\u2019s COVID-19 travel red list.<\/p>\n

Cavani has now admitted he is not happy by the ruling, but respects the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re exposed to decisions that are made in the organizations of certain tournaments and leagues and either of the two decisions is detrimental to us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do not get rich with the national team. We have a commitment to ourselves. And a moral commitment to defend our country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe make wealth by wearing the national team\u2019s jersey,\u201d Cavani told AUFTV, via El Observador, translated by Sport Witness.<\/p>\n

This comes amid United\u2019s decision to strip him of the no 7 shirt and hand it over to the returning Cristiano Ronaldo.<\/p>\n
